Fear, chasing me
Seeking my fall
With cold hands
Clammy gripping at my ankles.
Slender beams of moonlight enter
this darkened place as I fall to my knees.
always lost, frozen here,
waiting.
It rips at my body,
Twisting my Heart
And tearing my Soul.
My blood drips to the thirsty earth
In agony I beg forgiveness.
I raise my head, now railing against
this oblivious end.
Faces swim before my teary eyes
Terror on an angel's face.
The twisted trees,
The scented twilight,
As I fall backwards into sleep.
