Grey clouds hang ominously in the sky,
Signs of storms ahead.
Sheets of rain, drop so weighty on the windscreen
Sounds of distant thunder rolls and lightning flashes across the sky.
All ahead so dark and dreary, as heavy hearted I drive.
In the tempest.
And yet a glimpse of lightness, brightness,
A rainbow chases me.
Hunts me down in my rear-view mirror and forces me to smile.
Life plays funny little tricks somedays.
Sometimes when you need it most.
